You know that we love a beery recipe, so here is a bonus one to help you cope with the heatwave! Vegan-friendly, low calorie and completely moreish, this sorbet will keep you cool and introduce you to old favourites and new treats in our beer range.
Of course it goes without saying that this recipe is only for those over 18, but if you want to make an alcohol-free version, make sure to keep a look out for upcoming alcohol-free options on our site!
You can truly use any beer you like - but we have some which we think would be perfect whether you prefer them in a bottle or out of your beer tap.
600 ml of any beer
200g of sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons of honey
1 lemon
Step 1: Warm up half of the beer in a saucepan with the sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved, then set it aside to cool.
Step 2: Once it is set aside, add the honey, the juice of the lemon and the rest of the beer and mix gently.
Step 3: Pour the sorbet mixture into a freezer-safe container - we recommend a round metal cake pan, as this will help it freeze quicker and more consistently. Place it into the freezer, and every half an hour or so, take it out and mash it with a fork until it is all mixed. Sounds odd we know, but this process stops the mixture crystallising. Once the mixture resembles sorbet with a firm texture, you are done!
