The history of...Brouwerij De Prael

De Prael is brewed by the De Prael Brewery, located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Founded in 2002 by Arno Kooy and Fer Kok, this is a brewery that is having a positive social impact. Kooy and Kok offer work to unemployed people struggling to find a job. They are given a position behind the bar in the taproom in Amsterdam’s historic city centre.

De Prael likes to experiment with unusual brewing processes and interesting ingredients such as rainwater. As long as it results in more great-tasting beer, we can only applaud this experimentation.
