The history of...Brouwerij De Molen

De Molen, founded in 2004 by Menno Olivier, is located in De Arkduif, a historic mill in Bodegraven, The Netherlands. Both nationally and internationally, the Mill's beers harvest a lot of appreciation: On RateBeer (the world's largest beer rating site), De Molen is ranked 6th in the top 100 best brewers in the world. This is definitely a selection by beer lovers themselves and a true confrontation method because RateBeer counts more than 28,000 brewers. 

Collaboration with Philadelphia Care Institution

At The Mill, 8 to 15 people work daily via Philadelphia, a healthcare institution for people with intellectual disabilities and the impossibility to fully join the labour market. The employees feel very much in their place: it's real work and they are very proud to work for the brewery.

No concessions

De Molen does not make concessions: quality always stands out and they only produce beers that they would like to drink themselves. The recipes and brewing processes are very specific in order to achieve the unique flavours and bitterness they aspire to. And that's what you experience: not for nothing, The Mill's beers are all exquisite and worldwide appreciated!
