Brasserie de Silly
Brasserie de Silly is located in the village of Silly, about 40 kilometers from Brussels. In 1850 Marcelin Hypolite Mynbrughen started this brewery, first under the name Cense de la Tour. In 1900, Marcelin's son Adelin won a silver medal at the world exhibition in Paris. During the First World War, Adelin's son, Adelin Jr., introduced a new beer with the help of Scottish soldiers to pass through in Silly. The Scotch Silly was born. In 1990, Blanche de Silly was launched. The brewery is now in the hands of the 6th generation of the family. A brewery with a beautiful past, but with a perhaps even better future.
