The history of...La Brasserie de Vézelay
Brasserie de Vézelay was founded in 2012 by Marc Neyret, at the foot of the Vézelay hill in Burgundy. The brewery produces only organic beers which respect the Bavarian decree on the purity of beer of 1516.
Aided by Bavarian master brewer Stefan Peter Stadler, Marc offers beers without sugar, dye, additives, all unfiltered and unpasteurized. The brewery is now a true reference point in the making of organic beer. It has won 12 medals at the Concours Général Agricole and 5 World Beer Awards.
The way the beer is produced is also respectful of its environment. The brewery uses spring water which supplies the village and its wastewater is reprocessed by a dedicated system. Finally, the malt residue is given to a breeder, to feed the local cows.
Brasserie de Vézelay proudly makes organic beer that respects tradition, history and the environment. Discover the range below.
